How to buy bitcoin in Nigeria by Kit Udemba

I decide to take my time to write this post because of the high level of scams about buying bitcoin out there with a lot of people losing money because of their lack of knowledge on how to buy bitcoin in Nigeria.

As a new person to this bitcoin of a thing, it will sound so confusing at first, but once you take your time to understand how it works, you will see that it is not as hard as you have been imaging it.

Understanding what a bitcoin wallet is all about is very important when it comes to buying bitcoin, because it is where you will keep the bitcoin you bought. A bitcoin wallet is just like your physical wallet that you can keep your money inside, bitcoin wallet is just like your every day physical wallet and it make easy for you to hold your wallet compare to holding gold or silver. The two things that makes bitcoin wallet different is that it is digital and has address that look like this {bc1qnytcy3pkjvavnn8shx4quc4z4gu074pwz4man8} and with this address anyone in anywhere in the world can use it to send you bitcoin.

Hardwallet is more preferable to me than any web / app based wallet, because it gives you the power to be in full control of your coin and the fact is that if it is Not Your Key, it is Note Your Coins.

Since you have gotten a clue about how bitcoin wallet works, let jump into how you can buy bitcoin in Nigeria.

Luno

My first choice for newbie to buy bitcoin in Nigeria is luno, because it is very easy to use without sweating.

Here are the simple steps to follow

· First you need to Sign up with your email address and password.

Tip — If you sign up with my code, BXTSJ we both get FREE bitcoin from luno

· Second — is for you to provide your ATM card details which must be the same with your sign up name. Tip — I have special account that I use to deal with bitcoin tractions, just a piece of advice.

· Third — is for you to Fund your account (deposits are tied to an ATM card which must be same with your bank account name).

· Fourth — is for you to put in the amount of bitcoin you want to buy and click the buy button.

· Lastly you will be required to input your 4 digit PIN before any transaction can take place.

And after that you will have bitcoin in your luno wallet.

Luno has a limit on the transitions you will get to and your account will be restricted, don’t panic when it happens because it is normal, all you need it to provide your valid ID to them e.g. drivers ID and National ID.

Binance

You can directly purchase bitcoin with credit card on binance. They offer the route to buy Bitcoin using debit card or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). A piece of advice from me — I have special account that I use to deal with bitcoin transitions, just a piece of advice.

And other option is to buy BTC with Bank Transfer

Buy stablecoins listed on Binance by wiring money from your account to the providers of these coins. Then, use these stablecoins to buy Bitcoin on Binance exchange.

Remitano

What makes remitano different from luno is that it is a peer to peer bitcoin exchange which means you are dealing directly with the owner of the bitcoin owner, but with the other tow you are dealing with the team directly. Remitano has larger orders compared to luno because of the peer to peer nature and which makes luno faster.
